Youth Ministry
Position: Youth Pastor
Location: Greenwich, CT | Full-Time
Position Overview
Trinity Church is seeking a Youth Pastor to lead, develop, and sustain a vibrant, Christ-centered ministry for middle and high school students (grades 6–12). This role exists to disciple students, equip volunteer leaders, partner with parents, and cultivate a spiritually healthy and relationally rich youth culture aligned with the mission and values of the church.
The ideal candidate is a relational leader with theological maturity, strong communication skills, and a heart for the next generation. This person must be able to engage students in a suburban, Northeast context with authenticity, relevance, and biblical integrity.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Provide spiritual leadership and discipleship for students through teaching, mentoring, and pastoral care
- Plan and oversee weekly gatherings, small groups, retreats, camps, and special events
- Develop a clear and intentional discipleship pathway from middle school through graduation
- Recruit, train, and support a team of adult volunteer leaders
- Partner closely with parents as the primary spiritual influencers in students’ lives
- Collaborate with church staff to integrate youth ministry into the broader life of the church
- Manage ministry logistics, budget, and safety practices with care and accountability
Qualifications
- A growing follower of Jesus Christ whose life reflects Christian character and leadership
- Alignment with Trinity Church’s theology, mission, and values
- Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (graduate work preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in youth ministry or a related pastoral role
- Strong teaching, relational, and communication skills
- Experience building and leading volunteer teams
- Ability to engage students and families in an academically driven, affluent community
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and attend off-site events
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive base salary within a range of $80,000–$90,000+, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include health coverage, retirement options, paid time off, soul care days, and professional development opportunities.
